It was a beautiful day for football practice in Tuscaloosa Wednesday. Temps were in the high 70s, it was 100 percent sunny and we had a nice breeze going. It’s kind of been a quiet week as Alabama prepares for Florida Atlantic (no outbursts from Nick Saban a la the week before Western Kentucky...yet).
This morning on the SEC Coaches Teleconference, Saban said the focus for this week is to understand how to “play our best when our best is needed” and to reinforce that they don’t need to have an “I told you so game” to play at their best.
The media was granted two periods to watch. Here are some observations and a video of the inside linebackers.
-The team was in full pads
-No player other than the quarterbacks wore black no-contact jerseys.
-As noticed yesterday, cornerback Dee Milliner still has a light cast on his right wrist, but it doesn’t seem to be limiting him at all.
-A.J. McCarron, who said his bruised his hand while recovering a botched snap against Arkansas, once again looked just fine throwing to his receivers. He said Tuesday that he’s “ready to go” for FAU.
