It was a little on the muggy, sticky side at Alabama practice Tuesday afternoon. It was partly cloudy and as the media left the practice fields, it started drizzling. Reporters were granted two periods to watch today. Here are some observations.
-Quarterback A.J. McCarron (bruised hand) looked fine throwing today (video below). He always has his wrist wrapped, but there was nothing protecting his hand, making one believe that it's a non-issue.
Monday at his weekly press conference, head coach Nick Saban said that there weren't any new injuries to report, so he obviously doesn't think McCarron's bruise is serious.
-Speaking of injuries, linebacker Adrian Hubbard, who sprained his elbow during a scrimmage in camp, usually wears a giant protective contraction on his arm during practice and games. But today, he didn't have it on.
-Cornerback Dee Milliner wore a small cast on his right wrist but it didn't seem to limit him at all. The guy has been banged up quite a bit already this season (hand, hip flexor).
-No one wore black no-contact jerseys other than the quarterbacks.
-The team practiced in full pads.
