Practice Report: 9/17

AJ McCarron

After injuring his hand in the Arkansas game, quarterback AJ McCarron looked fine throwing during Monday's practice.

Though Alabama played in the rain in Fayetteville on Saturday, the team went indoors to the Hank Crisp Facility Monday due to scattered thunderstorms. The media was only granted one period to view practice. Here are some observations.

-After injuring his hand while recovering a botched snap at the goal line in the second quarter of the Arkansas game Saturday (H-back Kelly Johnson accidentally stepped on it), Tide quarterback A.J. McCarron looked fine throwing today.

Head coach Nick Saban addressed McCarron's injury after the game and said that it was just a bruise and he could have continued to play if need be. But Alabama had a cushy 38-0 lead when he came out of the game.

-No new injuries to report and no one, aside from the quarterbacks, wore black no-contact jerseys.

Below watch defensive backs Robert Lester, Vinnie Sunseri, Nick Perry, HaHa Clinton-Dix, Eddie Williams and Landon Collins go through drills.
