It was a beautiful and warm afternoon Monday for Alabama to begin preparing for its first SEC game against Arkansas. The media was granted just one period to watch practice, but here are some observations:
-The team was not in full pads.
-As Nick Saban said earlier Monday morning at his weekly press conference, all injured players—except for running back/fullback/H-back Jalston Fowler who will have knee surgery this week and is likely out for the rest of the season—were back in action. No one wore a black no-contact jersey. Previously injured/limited players were nose guard Jesse Williams (concussion), cornerback Dee Milliner (hip flexor) and linebackers Reggie Ragland (ankle) and Brent Calloway (shoulder).
-I got some good video of the defensive linemen working on pass rushing moves. You can view it below.
