Alabama began preparing for Michigan Friday. The media was only allowed about seven minutes to watch practice (our viewing privileges decrease once the season starts), but here are some quick observations:
-Today was the first day all week we really saw Eddie Lacy move. He hasn’t been limited in practice, but as far as the media watching him practice, today was the most he’s done since spraining his ankle and knee last weekend.
However, we really only saw him run in a straight motion, no cutting. Earlier this week, Alabama coach Nick Saban said he'd be "surprised" if Lacy wasn't OK by this weekend.
There’s video of him and other running backs like Jalston Fowler, Dee Hart, T.J. Yeldon and Kenyan Drake below.
-Wide receiver Amari Cooper (foot) and backup center Ryan Kelly (ankle) rode stationary bikes. After practice Thursday, Nick Saban said he’s hoping both will be ready to practice again Monday.
-This week we’ve only seen A.J. McCarron take snaps and hand off to the running backs. Friday, we saw him throw and despite rumors he hurt his shoulder, McCarron looked fine.
