Alabama tight end Michael Williams' role is changing, and for the better, as he'll be used more in the passing attack as offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier plans to air the ball out more this season.

Alabama senior tight end Michael Williams' role is changing this year, and for the better.

Rather than just blocking for the run game, Williams' skills will be utilized in the passing attack.

"It’s more of coming in on third down and getting us first downs," he said. "More stretching the field. More just being an all-around tight end than just blocking. I like my job right now."
