After Monday morning's practice, senior linebacker Nico Johnson discussed the defense's performance at Alabama's scrimmage last Saturday. It was the Crimson Tide's first scrimmage of fall camp.
"We made a lot of mistakes, but not mistakes we can’t correct," he said. "Effort, toughness, the want-to, the will to do everything right was there. But like I said, we made a lot of mistakes. We’ve got a lot of improving to do. We have a lot of time before the first game. It was exciting Saturday. It was pretty much like a game-type atmosphere out there, because everybody was so high-intensity and just flying around having fun."
