It was a cooler 79 degrees, but still quite humid at Alabama’s practice Monday morning. There wasn’t too much to see, but here are some observations from the media’s short viewing period:
-The team was in full pads again.
-Freshman Chris Black, who injured his shoulder last Sunday during practice and is expected to be out for 3-4 months, watched the wide receivers practice. Here’s a picture.
-Nobody wore black no-contact jerseys except for the quarterbacks. However, as head coach Nick Saban mentioned Saturday afternoon after the team’s first fall scrimmage, a few players have “bumps and bruises.” Linebacker Adrian Hubbard, who sprained his wrist on Saturday, was heavily taped up. Saban said he should be fine though. Linebacker Josh Dickerson had a cast on his left arm, but that didn’t seem to limit him at all.
-Saban was working very closely with the following defensive backs: Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Landon Collins, Vinnie Sunseri, Deion Belue and Ranzell Watkins (as seen in the video below).
