Gerald Sterling visits practice
"Right now I am receiving interest from Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas State, Tennessee, UCLA and Georgia Tech," said Gerald Sterling. "I really like Alabama and Auburn. Those schools treat me with respect. "I am open to anyone though. I will play wherever I get the opportunity. I went to a game at Auburn last year. I went to Alabama's practice yesterday. I am going back to Alabama next week for their A-Day game." The 6-foot-4, 250-pound athlete talked about his time in Tuscaloosa. "The visit at Alabama was fine," Sterling said. "I went to their Junior Day. They are saying they don't know which side of the ball they want me to play. They are looking at me at either tight end or defensive end. They want me to come back to camp. "I really liked the way they practiced. I like the way they go after it. I like how the coaches get after the players. I really like the work ethic the players have there." Sterling is a talented athlete who clocked a 4.7 40-yard dash. He talked about his strengths and areas to improve. "I feel like my best strength is on the defensive side," he said. "I can get to the QB and take him out. On offense I can open holes for my teammates. I can catch the ball. "I want to work on getting a little faster. I want to work on getting stronger. I don't want to be just good. I want to work on getting better."
