The University of Alabama verbal pledges are in action this week. Schedules provided.
Alabama All-Star: Darius Philon
"Everything is good," said Darius Philon. "I found out about the game. I feel like hard work is paying off, but I still have a lot more I can do. The only thing I can do is go out there and compete."
The Alabama commitment visited Tuscaloosa when the Tide faced the Razorbacks.
"I went to the Arkansas game," Philon said. "Everything was good. The team looks good. Nothing has changed. The defense is great.
"I talked to some of the coaches while I was there after the game. They didn't say too much. They were just seeing how I was doing and stuff like that. They had a lot of recruits up there they were talking to. I am already committed, so it was cool."
Philon did spend time with a couple of future teammates.
"I hung out with Dillon [Lee] and Ryan Anderson while I was there," he said. "Those guys are cool. From what I have seen we have the best recruiting class coming in next year."
Philon plans to attend Alabama's Homecoming game this weekend.
