Super 11: Tide commitments

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution released their annual pre-season Super 11 which is the top seniors in the state of Georgia. Two Alabama commitments made the list along with a couple of Tide targets.

The two University of Alabama commitments who made the list include Dillon Lee, four-star middle linebacker from Buford, and Kenyan Drake, four-star running back from Powder Springs-Hillgrove.

“It’s a real big honor,” said Lee. “It meant a lot to me to be selected to the Super 11. I was excited to be on the list.”

Lee is rated the No. 6 middle linebacker in the country by Scout.com. He had a monster junior season with 84 tackles, nine sacks, five interceptions and two forced fumbles. He had eight touchdowns on offense.

Drake is the top rated running back in the Peach State. He rushed for 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns. He added 500 yards receiving and eight touchdowns.

Jordan Jenkins, five-star defensive end from Hamilton-Harris County, has his top two schools of Alabama and Georgia. Jenkins is the top rated player in the state.

Geno Smith, National 100 cornerback from St. Pius X., is another selection in the Super 11. Smith will announce his college decision Wednesday between Alabama and Auburn.

Dalvin Tomlinson, four-star defensive end from McDonough-Henry County, camped in Tuscaloosa in July and high on Alabama. The Tide remains a major contender for his signature.

Several recruits who failed to make the list included Brandon Greene, four-star offensive tackle and Tide commitment from Ellenwood-Cedar Grove, Ricky Parks, four-star tight end and Auburn commitment from Hogansville-Calloway, Greyson Lambert, four-star quarterback and Virginia commitment from Jesup-Wayne County and Vadal Alexander, four-star offensive guard from Buford.
