Trae Elston talks SEC camp

Trae Elston, three-star cornerback from Oxford, Ala., camped at Alabama this week on the offensive side of the ball. He talked about his performance and the schools high on his list. Andrew Bone has the latest news...

"I went to the Alabama camp on Tuesday," said Trae Elston. "I did great. I got to work with Cris Carter. He helped me out a little bit. He was giving me tips.

"The Alabama coaches said I did good. They said they like me. Cris Carter said he likes me. Coach Saban told me he was glad I came to the camp. He said they are recruiting me as an athlete."

Elston talked more about working out with the future NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver.

"He was real cool to work out with," Elston said of Carter. "He talks pretty loud. He gives you a lot of good tips. I felt like he helped me out. He told me I did a real good job."

An out-of-state program remains at the top of his list, but other schools are making a push.

"Clemson is still in front," said Elston. "I will say Alabama, LSU and Miami are right up there with them. I still plan on waiting until signing day to make my decision."
