Bone's Best: Jake Ganus

Andrew Bone takes a closer look at the Top 60 players in the state of Alabama prior to the 2011 season.

49. Jake Ganus
Chelsea High School
6-foot-3, 185-pounds

2010 stats: Ganus had 1,673 yards passing with 16 touchdowns and 1,055 yards rushing with 10 touchdowns.

Recruitment: The ball started rolling for Ganus during the spring. He added offers from Air Force, Georgia State, Navy and UAB. Several schools throughout the Southeast have expressed interest. He was named the MVP of the South Showcase Combine in April.

Ganus says, "It doesn't matter to me which position I play in college. I've had a lot of people say I am a safety. I know I will put on some weight this off-season and could end up as a outside linebacker. I could play receiver."
