Bone's Best: Trae Elston

Andrew Bone takes a closer look at the Top 60 players in the state of Alabama prior to the 2011 season. Elston also talks in a video interview from this past week about his recruitment.

2010 stats: Elston finished with 104 tackles, three interceptions and eight pass breakups. He had 28 receptions on offense for 528 yards and six touchdowns. He also returned a punt and a kick-off for touchdowns.

Recruitment: Elston started receiving scholarship offers when he was a sophomore and now with more than 25 from across the country. Clemson has been the long-time favorite, but Auburn, Tennessee and LSU became strong contenders in the spring. Alabama recently moved up the list, and he will camp in Tuscaloosa this month.

Elston says, "I am trying to keep everyone equal right now. When I go on my official visits I will know who my favorites are. I won't make a decision until signing day."
