No. 39 outside linebacker
Leeds High School
6-foot-1, 197-pounds

2010 stats: Mitchell had 99 tackles, 11.5 sacks, 37 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one batted pass. He played defensive end for the Class 3A state champions.

Recruitment: Mitchell has several scholarship scholarship offers including Auburn, Mississippi State, Southern Miss and UAB. Alabama extended a verbal offer during the spring, but wanted to evaluate a little more at camp. He suffered an injury at the Tide's OL/DL camp and was asked to return in July. Auburn and Mississippi State are at the top of his list.

Mitchell says, "My biggest strength would have to be my speed. I am able to use it on the field getting the ball carrier and getting past people. The things I want to work on is using my hands more often. I don't use them as often as I should. I am working on tackling lower."
