Mosley Selected Frosh All-America

Alabama rookie C.J. Mosley, an outstanding middle linebacker for Alabama in 2010, has been named Freshman All-America by the Football Writers Association of America.



C.J. Mosley, a true freshman linebacker from Theodore, finished third for Alabama in tackles (67). He also had two interception returns for touchdowns and a team-high 10 pass breakups.

He returned an interception 35 yards for a touchdown against Florida and had another for 41 yards and a score against Georgia State.

He started three games at mike linebacker in nickel formations for the Tide and registered five or more tackles in nine games. He set a career-high with 12 stops against Mississippi State.

The 10th annual FWAA Freshman All-America team was selected by an 11-person panel of nationally-prominent sportswriters.

Both true freshmen and redshirt freshmen were considered for the team.

Mosley also was selected Freshman All-America honors from CollegeFootballNews.com and was a Freshman All-Southeastern Conference pick by league coaches.
