Julio Jones Plays Big In Loss

Julio Jones won the battle, but Patrick Peterson won the war. The Crimson Tide's outstanding wide receiver had a very fine day against the man considered to be the best defensive back in the nation. But LSU defeated Alabama, 24-21, in Baton Rouge Saturday.

Alabama junior wide receiver Julio Jones had 10 receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown in a losing effort for Alabama against LSU. That moved him into second place in the Crimson Tide record book for career receptions. He now has 156 pass receptions for 2,888 yards, ranking second to D.J.
